Community and Enterprise Resources require a motivated individual to join a busy section delivering a support service to Roads Services.
You must have the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines, be able to demonstrate good organisational skills and experience in undertaking a broad range of clerical tasks. You will also be required to demonstrate excellent customer care skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
The post requires good IT skills and a financial background is essential. Experience of the Council’s Iprocurement system is desired.
In return, you will be placed on the above scale dependent on experience and you will become part of a team committed to delivering continuous improvement to the performance of the Council’s Roads service.

Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.
Provide a quality clerical support service to Roads Construction within Community and Enterprise Resources establishing open and effective communications ensuring a high level of security and confidentiality within the office to contribute to the effectiveness of the service.
Undertake specialist clerical activities in accordance with pre-determined procedures, instructions and standards to support the effective provision of the Roads Construction Service including processing sub-contractor invoices on the Roads costing system (CPA), collation of briefings, typing and circulation of minutes and agenda’s and liaising with Service Officers as required.
Undertake tasks and processes related to Iprocurement including sourcing of products from external suppliers, processing orders, receipting and resolving iprocurement holds on behalf of Roads Construction service and various other Services ensuring procedures are adhered to.
Process correspondence and other documentation in order to communicate and present service information in a clear and concise manner.
Process enquires and assist with the preparation and collation of management information and statistics, including completion of winter gritting spreadsheet and preparing gritting reports.
